"So what if I'm shy" - that is Jana G.'s motto, but seeing the confidence with which she writes and performs one would not suspect she is shy at all. Her music is bold bouncy pop which is the style she believes in. She is not the only one.
As a teenager Jana G. learned how to play electric guitar and joined her first band. Then she began singing, writing songs, learned to play the keyboard, as well as programming MIDI instruments.
In August 2011, she raised a budget of €3,900 on SellaBand, thanks to the help of 58 believers. That helped her record her debut EP I Am Jana I Am Pop. Producer Vince Lawrence, a private investor and Jana's day-job boss, helped her with the recordings. Music videos were made for two of the tracks - Sleeping and Open Up.
