Lunic
The Dark House
Lunic is the band of Kaitee Page, a classically trained New York-based violinist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger.

In 2007, Lunic - then still as Kaitee Page - signed up on SellaBand to fund her debut album with the help of her fans. In March 2008, the funding was complete and in 2009, the album Lovethief came out. It was produced by Peter Denenberg (Spin Doctors, Deep Purple) and it includes this week's winning song. Since the release of Lovethief, Lunic has been featured on Good Morning America, interviewed by the New York Times, played on over 100 radio stations throughout the United States and Canada, nominated for the LA Music Awards (Rock Single of the Year), opened among others for Moby, Creed and Company of Thieves and won Runner Up in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

The band has toured a lot especially in the US, but also abroad. The band's style has changed over the years. From acoustic/alternative/indie rock, it finally developed into electro-pop. Following this shift to a new genre, the number of musicians has been reduced and currently Lunic is a three-piece all-girl formation, with violinist/violist Megan Berson and drummer Lisa Wilson. Kaitee Page explains: "We knew that in order to get the sound we wanted, we'd have to learn to produce & engineer and play or program all the instruments ourselves so that we could accurately create the parts we heard in our heads."

Already during the recording of Lovethief, Lunic opened a new fundraising project on SellaBand. They are currently at 91% and as soon as they hit the target, they want to release their second full album. The album has been already recorded and the release is planned for 2012. Kaitee Page says that they are especially proud of this album because it is homemade and that is what gives it character.

Lunic has also already revealed the title of the album: Cool Kids.
