NRG Rising, the fun and energetic, female-fronted reggae band from New Zealand, reached their SellaBand target on April 11, 2010. They finished recording the album in November, 2010, after what they say was an amazing journey full of emotional ups and downs.

In February of 2011, the album From Darkness to Light was released.

The band's latest project was to record a special NRG Rising version of David Grace's song Rua Kenana. On their homepage, you can see a lot of "secret" videos from the recording process. They had a great time doing that song.

Now NRG Rising focus on touring. Recently they announced they will be the supporting act for legendary Jamaican band Third World on two shows: Tauranga Mt Action Event Centre May 27th 2011 and Auckland Logan Campbell Events May 28th 2011.
