Song of the Week
Lee-Leet
Heaven & earth
In December 2009, the Polish singer-songwriter Lee-Leet self-released "State of Emergency", her first album with 10 songs. She did not plan a promotional campaign but soon she started getting email from her new fans who were writing to congratulate her on her new album - after Channel 3 of the Polish Radio, a well-respected and influential Polish radio station and the only radio station where she had taken a copy of her album, started playing it. Grzegorz Zembrowski, a music journalist at Channel 3, described the album as "hard to classify as it doesn't follow any trends or fashions. It doesn't try to fit into the current "hot sells" category either. No, Lee-Leet sang and played what she felt and what she wanted. We keep our fingers crossed! It looks like a great beginning".

And a great beginning it was as Lee-Leet's emotional and often melancholic songs were what a lot of Polish radio listeners wanted to hear. Encouraged by the success of "State of Emergency", Lee-Leet recorded and has recently released her new album "Bare". Again, it features honest, emotional, acoustic, piano-based songs - this time 13. The album, which comes with a 20-page booklet with lyrics, can be ordered on Lee-Leet's website.

Lee-Leet will have her album acoustic premiere concert at Bonu in Warsaw at 20.30.
