Wildcat is the artist name of German musician Tanja Wiles who turned to making electronic music after a past in a punk band. She discovered the possibilities the computer could offer to a solo musician, and that was how her mysterious soundscapes were born. From Wildcat's SellaBand profile: "Wildcat's idiosyncratic music invites you into worlds where attributes like mysterious, sensuality, dreamy, melancholic and fragile create, like a color tone, an emotional landscape. Multilayered sounds become paths that invite you for a journey into the soul."

In February 2007, Wildcat signed up on SellaBand to raise funds for a debut album. In November 2010, she reached her target and her album Desolate Enigma, recorded in Wellencocktail Studio in Hamburg, has recently been released and sent to her believers.
