NIKA was born in Latvia, where she is best known (with her previous artist name Nicol) from her radio hits and or being the Eurovision finalist 2003, 2004 and 2006. Since 2007, NIKA has lived in London, where she has performed at such venues as Shepherds Bush Empire, Hammersmith Apollo. In 2009 NIKA was successful on ITV's X Factor, where she reached the Boot Camp stage of the competition.

Currently NIKA works as a linquistic coach and session singer and performs at events across the UK at private corporative parties and festivals; she also hosts the Music Night for original artists and leads the house band at Aprés Lounge in London.
