New Life
The name of the Polish band Teleport Magic reflects the mood of their music and their artistic goals. They want to teleport the listeners into the world of peaceful melancholy and help them find their own ways to the world on the other side of the mirror.
Teleport Magic's history goes back to 2007, when Wojtek Dziurosz (guitarist of bands Jim Loveski and Loco Motive Sun) started writing songs for what was first meant to be a typical solo project. He invited his wife Estera Sławińska-Dziurosz to do the vocals and guitarist Grzegorz Szlęk, with whom he had previously played in Jim Loveski. Together with Adam Kamiński, Teleport Magic recorded and produced six songs which became the band's first demo.
It soon became clear that the band needed to find more members and prepare live material. In autumn 2009, the band was joined by Sebastian Ziomek (actor at Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzów, where also Estera works) on drums and Wojtek Zieliński on bass. After the band's expansion, the songs gained a new, fuller sound. Teleport Magic have played in this line-up since then and have created more songs.
In spring 2011, Teleport Magic decided to record their debut album. The album Po drugiej stronie lustra (Eng. "on the other side of the mirror") features 10 original compositions with Polish lyrics. The album was recorded in Red House Studio by Piotr Mędrzak.
Currently, the band is rehearsing the new material with the new guitarist Tomek Michalik. The release of the album is planned for the autumn this year. Afterwards the band is planning a concert tour.
