Song of the Week
KONTRUST
The smash song
KONTRUST started as a band in 2001 and already upon releasing their album "Welcome Home" (2005) they had many faithful fans. But in 2010 things really started taking up speed when "Bomba", one of the songs from their latest album "Time to Tango" (2009) entered the charts of the influential Dutch radio station 3FM. The song stayed in the chart for weeks as well as reaching the top of the Rock chart on iTunes, the number of YouTube views for the video accompanying it quickly soared past 1 million views, and KONTRUST got invited to play at a number of festivals and popular venues all over the Netherlands. A number of the concerts were sold out.

In September 2010, KONTRUST won the Amadeus Music Award in the category Hard&Heavy in their native Austria. Later on in the autumn, they travelled to the Netherlands again for another brief tour, again heating up the stages of a few lucky venues.

"The Smash Song" is another single from "Time to Tango", also accompanied by a captivating video.
