Song of the Week
Lee-Leet has played the piano since she was 7 years old, but for a while had a break from music. Other things took up her time and attention until she felt a strong need to compose and record her own songs. In 2009 she recorded and released her debut album, State of Emergency, by herself and took it to just one radio station on the way home from work: Channel 3 of the Polish Radio. It got played, and Lee-Leet started receving messages from her first fans congratulating her on her album. The listeners' interest led to more airplay, and that was how Lee-Leet's debut, despite no promotional campaign, caused quite a stir in Poland.

Grzegorz Zembrowski, a music journalist at Channel 3 of the Polish Radio, was very positive about Lee-Leet's honest compositions, independent of any trends:

"This album is hard to classify as it doesn't follow any trends or fashions. It doesn't try to fit into the current 'hot sells' category either. No, Lee-Leet sang and played what she felt and what she wanted. We keep our fingers crossed! It looks like a great beginning" - he said. At the moment, Lee-Leet is working on her second album, and Rebel is a single from it. This time she collaborates with Krzysztof (Banan) Banasik, who formerly played in Kult and Armia, well known Polish bands. Krzysztof Banasik who will also play all guitar and horn parts on the album. The upcoming album, as Lee-Leet says, will be emotional and with a variety of moods, with Lee-Leet's distinct voice as its trademark.

In the meantime, Lee-Leet's first album, State of Emergency can be ordered from Lee-Leet's website. Fans can also support Lee-Leet on SellaBand, where she is collecting funds for the promotion of her second album.
