Song of the Week
White-X-Blues-Band
I wonder if it will rain today
White-X-Blues-Band is a one-man music project of Erwin Vomberg. Having begun playing the guitar in the winter of 1969, he started the band Stoned Rabbit in 1974, after which he played in various local bands, like Six Pack Maru, Red Rosie, Fun, Time Bandits, Trigger. Year 1980 brought Erwin the first experiences with studio-work, multitrack-recording, mixing and production. In 2000 he started producing music of other artists.
In 1996 Erwin became the guitarist of die Mennekrather. In the same year, he started working as a teacher of various subjects, including guitar at private schools. That didn't keep him from performing live with various bands, which he has been doing since 1972, sometimes playing as many as 120 gigs a year.
In 2009, Erwin had three No. 1 hits in USA protest song charts. He supported Obama in his campaign, joined the Obama competence team and became a co-signer of the health care reform. He is listed in the White House, and proud of it.
White-X-Blues-Band is raising a budget for a 4-CD compilation project on SellaBand. As Erwin says on his SellaBand profile: "The plan is to produce a 4CD-package, theme is a soundtrack to a 4-part-road-movie like I did on "For Personal Information Only" (mp3-netlabel.de amazon, itunes and others), style would be music fitting in movies of Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Tarantino, Wim Wenders and similar (if there are any ... :-)). lots of guitar-soundscapes, from calm to experimental drifting songs, psychedelic collages included." The songs for this project are already written.

This show is the last edition of TalentCast before we are taking a summer break. According to plan, we are back August 21st.
From then on you will not hear MissY doing the presentation anymore, since she decided to spend her time on different things.
To celebrate presenting TalentCast three years in a row, MissY picked some of her favorite songs by artists that took the trouble to supply us with interesting music.
Enjoy!
